Changing the Tyres on your Scooter
An off-road tyre is made of thicker and more durable rubber than the city models. However, it can still get punctured, so make sure you have a spare one at home. To significantly prolong the life of your tyre, watch out for:
- sharp objects, e.g. a piece of debris, glass or nails,
- hard impacts, e.g. on high kerbs at high speed,
- excessive pressure on the tyre, i.e. putting more weight on the tyre than it can support,
- under-inflated tyres: check frequently if the air pressure is correct.
