Before you buy the electric scooter of your dreams, it is important to understand how to choose the right vehicle, so it will be comfortable to ride. There are many different parameters to help you determine which model will best meet your requirements. Take into consideration your current needs and budget.

The weight of the vehicle depends on the model. The lightest electric scooters for adults weigh around 26.5 lbs (12 kg), but you can also find on the market devices weighing 44 lbs (20 kg) and more. This parameter depends on many factors: the load of the scooter, the slope of the terrain, the surface, the riding style and even the condition of the wheels. Therefore, you may find that your vehicle travels slightly fewer miles than stated under the maximum range.

When choosing an electric scooter, make sure that its maximum range is approximately 2 times the distance you want to travel. Especially if you plan to use your two wheels for daily commute. This will save you from being stuck on the road with a discharged vehicle.

The battery capacity of an electric scooter translates into its range and the length of the charging process.
