How does the Cycle to Work Scheme work?

Pick Your Package & Apply:
Select an e-bike that suits your needs, along with any required accessories. Use the online calculator to understand how much you could save.
Get Your Gear:
Once your employer reviews and approves your application, they'll pay for your Cycle to Work package. We'll then provide you an eCertificate that you can exchange for your chosen gear either in-store or online.
Choose an Ownership Option:
When your Hire Agreement and salary sacrifice ends, you can retain your Cycle to Work package by paying a small additional fee. There are three convenient options to choose from, allowing you to pick what suits you best.

Can electric scooters or bikes without pedals be purchased under the Cycle to Work scheme?

No, only Electric Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs) qualify for the Cycle to Work scheme. According to The Pedal Cycles (Construction and Use) Regulations, qualifying vehicles must meet all these requirements: Pedals: The bike must have functional pedals that can propel it Motor power: Maximum power output must be 250 watts Top speed: Electric assistance must cut off at 15.5 mph (25 kph) Display: Must show either the motor's power output or manufacturer, and either the battery voltage or maximum speed Labeling: Must have a label stating the motor rated power and assist cut-off speed Electric scooters, high-powered e-bikes, or any vehicles without pedals do not qualify for the Cycle to Work scheme at Escooter Clinic or any other retailer.
